After so many failed attempts at getting back close to God, I think I have finally turned the corner again - though the road ahead is still long and difficult.
God can use us in whatever circumstance we are in. I have learned this from my time in hospital back in 2019, to the visits in and out of hospital since then, through the diagnosis of Diabetes and now getting to the age where I should be thinking of retiring!
The more I have to do with God and his church, the more I realise just how much he has been trying to guide me and keep me safe over the years. I look back at the many close calls I have had in life and the lives of my parents and family. We have been blessed in many ways, but none more so than when we are in church seeking God.
The more we seek him the more we realise this and the more willing we are to share our lives with him and for him. I have no problem doing what I do for God's glory though some around me wonder why! But I feel the happier I am with God the more they will be able to see thins and think about what they have in life - or do not have.
We are a living example for Christ. We are living because of him. We should be living to the fullest for him now too!

How many times have you feared those words in your past when someone (usually your parents or guardians) shouted them because you were doing something you should not have been? How many times have you tried to run away because you know you are going to be caught?
All of us continue to get things wrong at some stage in our lives, whether we are giving in to temptation or giving in to peer pressure, we go off the rails and find ourselves on the wrong end of the consequences of our actions! I guess that is why they are known as consequences to us! God would rather we got everything right all of the time but lets face it, we don't and we continue to get things wrong.
This is why Jesus did what He did a couple of thousand years ago. He knew we would get things wrong so He created a way in which we can escape the final consequences; but in order to get there we have to do something.
No it's not arduous, but it is life changing. We need to turn away from the constant lies and corruption and turn toward the truth. If we accept Jesus has done this for our sake and we ask Him to help us out - He has already promised He will help us out!

Too Busy?
Do you think your life is a bit too busy to care about things like God or religion? Do you think it is a waste of time reading old books like the bible?
I challenge you to set aside just five minutes each day and read through one of these devotionals. We probably spend more time than this pressing the snooze button on our phones or alarm clocks than we do reading up about God!
These devotionals are not designed to give you a half hour study in the bible or to challenge scholars as to how they should look at the bible; I simply want people to spend a tiny fraction of their day in a way which would please God. Stop and ready the three or four sentences which are written each day. Nothing too challenging and certainly not enough to read for five minutes worth... just spend the rest of the five minutes thinking about what you have read.

Welcome to the JustBread web site; a site dedicated to you, the youth of today, where you will be able to find daily encouragement with a good Christian background.
This site has grown from a discussion I had with a youth leader from Just42 who serves the youth in and around the Woodbridge area in Suffolk, UK. We will be organising short daily devotions that you will be able to read online (or soon via an Android app) that will offer Christian encouragement for you.
We hope to be able to have regular articles as well as the devotions and links to various activities happening in and around Woodbridge that you will be able to go along to.

We are working at making sure that content will start appearing at the beginning of the year - so 2013 will be the year that we can all make a fresh start and aim for much higher and better things.
