Proverbs 13:20 Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.

The more we hang around with wise people, the more we tend to learn from them – I used to love hanging round people who were able to do practical things, and I have learned a lot from that.

Jesus wants us to hang around people who know the truth and are willing to share that truth – so more people can be honest and open!

The more we try to do things the wrong way, the more likely we are to fall flat on our faces and have to endure the pain!

John 9:10 “How then were your eyes opened?” they asked.

What would you answer if you were asked how you were healed from your illness? Would you commend the doctors, nurses, medicine or God?

We do need to remind people just how awesome God is and how His grace extends far beyond our common understanding.

But He also promised He would never leave us and never forsake us – no matter how far we go and how much we deserve otherwise.

What a friend we have in Jesus!

Matthew 26:42 He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.”

Grieving is a part of life, a part which should not just be skipped over to get on with something else more profitable, but an integral part of our society.

It is not a comfortable part of life, but it is necessary for us to accept what has happened and move on to another chapter in our lives.

Having someone to walk with you during this time is so very important. People do not always walk with God during these times, so step forward and be a surrogate for them...
