What are you doing!

How many times have you feared those words in your past when someone (usually your parents or guardians) shouted them because you were doing something you should not have been? How many times have you tried to run away because you know you are going to be caught?

All of us continue to get things wrong at some stage in our lives, whether we are giving in to temptation or giving in to peer pressure, we go off the rails and find ourselves on the wrong end of the consequences of our actions! I guess that is why they are known as consequences to us! God would rather we got everything right all of the time but lets face it, we don't and we continue to get things wrong.

This is why Jesus did what He did a couple of thousand years ago. He knew we would get things wrong so He created a way in which we can escape the final consequences; but in order to get there we have to do something.

No it's not arduous, but it is life changing. We need to turn away from the constant lies and corruption and turn toward the truth. If we accept Jesus has done this for our sake and we ask Him to help us out - He has already promised He will help us out!

Happy Easter!

AutoTweet URLs not working

Hi all.

I recently installed #AutoTweetNG on my devotional sites which means a tweet is automatically posted when a new devotional is made available... It works fine on my other site, but the link at the bottom of the article has not been working on #JustBread posts. I hope this fixes it otherwise I have to go in and edit every post afterwards (serves me right for being lazy!)

John 7:51 Does our law condemn a man without first hearing him to find out what he has been doing?

Nicodemus knew the laws and how to interpret them properly. He knew the law does not stand to judge people without knowing what they did – that is what man does through gossip!

God does not strive to trip us up and allow us to fall flat on our faces; He wants us to understand we are sinners and need His help.

No matter how much we have done and how far we have gone in our past, God is willing to forgive and forget as long as we are willing to come to Him and ask for that forgiveness.

Ecclesiastes 3:19 For what happens to the sons of men also happens to animals; one thing befalls them: as one dies, so dies the other. Surely, they all have one breath; man has no advantage over animals, for all is vanity.

Another side of the wisdom God continued to give Solomon is given here. We all live on this planet, man, animals, plants and everything else.

When we mess things up it is messing it up for everything and not just us.

The things we do are going to affect those around us and in turn the world around us too.

God gave us charge of this world – let us not mess it up before He gets back!
