Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Living in the Western world allow us to feel a sense of freedom and safety which is not enjoyed by many people around the world – just because we live under the umbrella of a powerful nation or group of nations.

But take a step back and go through history to find out how many great dynasties and nations crumbled… Except one…

God continues to be here and continues to make sure we survive no matter what goes on in the world. With God on our side, who can rise up against us? Who?

1 John 3:11 For this is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another.

How many times have you read parts of the Old Testament and thought it was only about wars or hatred?

The wars and disquiet we hear all through our bibles are the result of the actions of men, not what God has asked for from the beginning…

God continues to try and allow us to see that loving our neighbours is what He has encouraged all throughout history – but we choose to focus on the wars and lies and deception instead of the truths He speaks.

Stop listening to the lies and speak out in truth – you will then find it easier to do what God asks.

John 17:16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.

When Jesus was lifting up His prayers to God, He described the disciples as being ‘not of this world.’

This is a label all Christians should strive for – to be known as a person who is not worldly, not consumed by the world and peer pressure but always praising God.

Jesus wanted the disciples to be absolutely safe. Ne way would be for them to go to heaven immediately, but instead He asks for God’s protection while they are on earth.

This protection covers us all because of this prayer asked for from Jesus!

Luke 19:10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.

When I read this verse it reminds me of a chorus we used to sing with the children by Maynard’s Groovy Bible Tunes!

As a child I probably would have not understood the gravity of this statement and as an Adult I often overlook it; but it is so very important!

Jesus came to search for the lost people, to look for them, to make disciples who would carry on the work and make sure it never ends.

He gave His life so He could save us all. It is done!
