James 1:20 because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.

Ok, we have to admit it, when we get angry, all sorts of things come out of our mouths and we do things which we don’t normally do! That’s what anger does.

If we could stop ourselves and think for a few moments when we get angry, we probably would not do most of what we do – but that doesn’t happen because we are angry!

God wants us to be quicker to listen than to retaliate, slower to speak than to hear and a bit less apt to anger. For that, we need someone else’s help – ask God to give you that strength each and every day...

Ecclesiastes 9:17 The quiet words of the wise are more to be heeded than the shouts of a ruler of fools.

We seem to live in a world where the person with the greatest outreach in social media or the greatest publicity is seen as the wisest…

This is far from the fact! Wise people do not always publicise themselves in order to gain popularity – wise people do what is right and don’t look for public adoration!

Ecclesiastes 9:12 Moreover, no one knows when their hour will come: As fish are caught in a cruel net, or birds are taken in a snare, so people are trapped by evil times that fall unexpectedly upon them.

Don’t blame God! We live in a world which has so many things wrong it it and people looks for someone to blame rather than accepting what is going to happen.

Does this mean we just sit back and wait for things to go wrong? Certainly not. We must step up and strive to make this world a better place.

But when something like an earthquake happens, we must accept it has happened because this is the way of the world and try to make the best of a bad situation.

Exodus 24:11 But God did not raise his hand against these leaders of the Israelites; they saw God, and they ate and drank.

Even though we do go off and do our own thing, God is not going to turn His back on us. He may spend far too much time chasing after us and not just being with us… but He never gives up!

We may think we have gone too far and how we are not worthy enough any more, but God is still there and will still make Himself known to us.

God never gives up on us; His faithfulness is everlasting!
