1 John 2:10 Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble.

What do you focus on to get perspective in your life? That will be what defines you and the way you act!

If we focus on the bad things in life we will tend to get drawn into bad things and they will consume our lives.

But, if we are able to focus on love, then we will have that as the driving force in our lives!

Starting with the here and now, the me and my actions, will help us to refocus and repurpose.

Romans 14:13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister.

What do you focus on when things go wrong around you? Do you get drawn into judging how others should be doing things differently, or do you look for a better way?

I know I am guilty of talking up about how others should be doing things my way, but that is not what needs to be done!

If we can focus on our own actions and try to ensure we do not do things wrong; if everyone can do the same, wouldn’t this world be a greater place?

2 Corinthians 6:3 We put no stumbling block in anyone’s path, so that our ministry will not be discredited.

Whatever we say should be in support of the church and not against it! We need to build up the church and hold it up as God’s church as often as we can.

Yet it is so easy to blame someone or say words against another just so you can justify something in your own life.

Always try to say the truth and always look to lift up God in everything we say and do.

We are His church and we do need to show fellowship and commitment to that end!

Matthew 27:63 “Sir,” they said, “we remember that while he was still alive that deceiver said, ‘After three days I will rise again.’”

What sort of words do you use to describe others who seem to have got the better of you?

These are the words of some of the leaders of the religious people at the time; I say religious people as opposed to the church because the real church of true believers was beginning to grow behind the scenes.

Be very careful of the words you choose to describe God’s people because they may be used against others as well as against you later on!
