Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

No matter how many times you hear it, you will probably ask God to change His mind at some stage or change the way of things!

God has a plan and continues to try and uphold that plan; we don’t know the full extent of that plan so continue to ask for help, guidance and even change.

If we put more of our faith and trust in Him and in His plan, we would probably end up with a life which goes more according to plan than all over the place!

Proverbs 24:21 Fear the Lord and the king, my son, and do not join with rebellious officials

One thing to remember above all is that our God is a God who has remained the same forever!

People come and change, circumstances change and we get in and out of trouble because of what we follow in life – but we need to always remain focused on our unchanging God!

We have strange times here in the UK as politicians say one thing and seem to do another, promising they are doing what we want and yet doing their own things.

That is what people are like – Not God. Believe and trust in our unchanging God above all else.

Proverbs 20:19 A gossip betrays a confidence; so avoid anyone who talks too much.

There are many warnings about mixing with the wrong people in our bibles, but there are many instructions about not ignoring people too.

It is a fine balance between loving and supporting those people who are in need and hanging out with those who talk the talk but don’t do what they say.

We need to be careful with what is said out loud because we do not always think about just who is listening and how our words will affect them.

Be kind with your words and keep them in check!

Proverbs 1:10 My son, if sinful men entice you, do not give in to them.

One of my biggest problems over the holiday period is giving in to the things others want me to do instead of doing what I know should be done. That is really a summary of mankind!

God is the only one we should always believe and trust – but it is very hard when we are surrounded by people who insist they are correct all the time.

When you feel like life’s choices are not all they could be, break open your bible and have a look through things with God – He will guide your to the truth.

May this year be a stunning year with God!
