Isaiah 43:11 I, even I, am the Lord, And besides Me there is no saviour.

I am very thankful there is only one God. I do not know how the early Greeks managed with so many different gods, or how the people in the East manage with a different god for each thing in their lives.

I like my life to be a bit ordered, though not too much so; but having to try and figure out just which god I should be talking to at any time would be a bit much!

I know my God does answer my prayers and I know He watches over me every minute of every day.

I know He is my Saviour and my everything!

Isaiah 43:25 I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins.

Why have the previous verse after the last verse? Because we have to remember why God has done what He has for each of us.

He does not do this to make us happy to be alive; He does this for His own sake, so we can glorify Him with our lives.

He is the One who will forgive us when we bring our sins to Him. He has already promised to do this. But He does this so we can continue to bring Him the glory and not the other way round.

Yes, He loves us more than we can imagine; but He is still God Almighty!

Isaiah 43:26 Put Me in remembrance; Let us contend together; State your case, that you may be acquitted.

How many wonderful things have you read about God in your bible over the last year? How many of them do you actually remember?

Being able to quote scripture does take practise and patience; but being able to remember what the words meant to you will come a lot easier.

Remember the things God has allowed into your life. Remember what he has changed for you. Remember what He has shared with you and remember the time when He has carried you.

Trusting in God means remembering and believing.

1 Samuel 3:19 So Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground.

When water falls to the ground it is not much use for drinking anymore; the earth will swallow it up and that is the end of your drinking water!

But Samuel was wise with the word he learned from God and with the instruction he got from God; he did not allow it to go to waste but used every word wisely.

When we hear God’s word from others we too should use them wisely and save them for when they are needed; remembering them and bringing the forward when required.
