Nahum 1:7 The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him.

The people from Nineveh heard what Jonah said and they repented of their evil ways; but a few generations down the line and it was all bad again.

Unless we continue to pass on the Gospel to the next generation, they have no hope in finding Christ as their friend.

It is easier to show people the truth than to try and teach them after the fact because it is easier to rest in God than to wrestle with Him!

Show people how much God means to you now.

Psalm 145:9 The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works.

It is always good to be reminded that when we find a friend in Jesus we will always have Him as our friend!

Not only does He put up with so much from each of us, he is also forgiving and just and continues to be so for all who have asked for forgiveness.

I know I don’t deserve what God blesses me with, but I know that He will continue to be merciful as I continue to make mistakes and bring them to Him.

Psalm 41:9 Even my own familiar friend in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.

There will be times when you wonder why you made friends with some people as they do things against you; but remember why you made friends in the first place.

God wants us to be able to make friends so that we can share what we have with them.

What is the greatest treasure that we have? Christ Jesus! We need to make friends so that we can share Christ with them.

Don’t get hung up when they turn against you because they are turning against Christ and not you if you have been open and honest with them…

Matthew 26:50 But Jesus said to him, “Friend, why have you come?” Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and took Him.

The difference between man and Jesus is that man says things but Jesus does them!

When Judas came to betray Jesus he was not greeted as an enemy but as a friend. Jesus was demonstrating His love whilst others simply talked about it.

Being a Christian means making a difference and not talking about one.

Jesus knew there would be a price to pay, but He continued on to make the difference no matter what the price!
