Isaiah 43:18 ‘Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.

How many times have you heard your parents of older people say things like "it was never like this in my day..."

The world is constantly changing and so are the people around us. New things get invented and new ways of working and living emerge.

We can still take God with us in our modern world – we just have to rely on Him for guidance as to how instead of focusing on the world and expecting it to tell us how!

Psalm 14:6 You evildoers frustrate the plans of the poor, but the Lord is their refuge.

No matter how much grief we come up against from people who do not believe in Christ, He is still here for us and will always reach out to protect us when we ask!

God sees all the bad things people do against each other and will always reach out to the poor and needy who are willing to reach out to Him.

He has promised to hear our prayers and to answer them!

Isaiah 40:29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

If we want to be able to win a race or a competition, we must train for it and get ourselves ready.

But training by yourself can be very hard work – it is always better when we have a coach who will continue to encourage us every step of the way.

God continues to be our coach – if we want to be ready for the race, we need to listen to our coach and obey Him!
