Judges 9:15 ‘The thorn-bush said to the trees, “If you really want to anoint me king over you, come and take refuge in my shade; but if not, then let fire come out of the thorn-bush and consume the cedars of Lebanon!”

God has given us many warning about choosing leaders, and yet we seem to get it wrong so many times (mankind that is.)

We can look back at so many leaders who were chosen who have run countries into the ground or have done wicked and evil deeds – yet so many of them were voted into power!

We must be careful what we ask God for, because God will grant our prayers!

Psalm 85:7 Show us your unfailing love, Lord, and grant us your salvation.

What does it take before you listen to God? Do you have to be told the same thing over and over again? How many messengers will God have to send your way before you listen?

God wants us to be good and faithful servant – that means stopping and listening to Him!

Stopping from being so involved with the world we take no notice of Him! Start taking more notice of Him and less of the world!

How many times have you given in to something you should not have and it has affected your family?

When we do things wrong or sin against God, we are not just affecting ourselves but affecting God and the people around us.

Stop and think of the consequences before embarking on your next wander down the wrong path!

Jesus was in the habit of reaching out to people when they were most in need – He was following in God’s footsteps!

God wants us to have the best and most blessed lives we can – to do this we need to be close to Him at all times.

To get close to God we need to humble ourselves and approach Him with open hearts and spirits.
