Psalm 132:10 For the sake of your servant David, do not reject your anointed one.

David lamented about how God should not ignore Him because he had done something wrong – he based his request on God’s unfailing love, promised through the scriptures.

This Psalm lifts up David in the hopes of reminding God of the good things David did, and not just the sins and failings!

God always looks at the bigger picture and will always be fair and just in all His dealings with us.

Isaiah 40:8 The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures for ever.

God wants us to be with Him and has made a way which will stand the test of time and man!

When we look at nature around us, we see how beautiful things can be, but we also see how things wilt and die off over time.

When we look at mankind, we see similar things – people rising up to fame and fortune and then losing it all when they die.

God wants us to know His promises are alive forever and will stand the test of time.

Luke 1:68 ‘Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has come to his people and redeemed them.

When God opened Zechariah’s mouth again, He made sure Zechariah would speak about what was to come.

He was chosen as a high priest but had to neglect many of his duties when he was mute. The Holy Spirit was going to make up for lost time!

The prophesies started flowing, starting with Jesus coming as the Messiah to redeem His chosen people – a promise made by God which was about to be fulfilled.

Acts 13:4 The two of them, sent on their way by the Holy Spirit, went down to Seleucia and sailed from there to Cyprus.

How good are you at listening to God? Do you wait to hear something verbally, do you wait for some miracle to happen?

God is not going to change the world just so you listen to Him! He will more likely end up changing you so the rest of the world will listen!

The disciples listened to what the Holy Spirit told them – we need to do the same in our lives and move forward knowing we are following God’s will.
