Psalm 81:8 Hear me, my people, and I will warn you - if you would only listen to me, Israel!

Here God is pleading with the psalmist to remember to listen to Him and Him alone.

So many things seem to happen in our modern world where we lose track on who said what and whom to believe!

Trusting in God for everything and making sure we do remember to do so at all times is vital to our spiritual and mental health!

Psalm 95:7 for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.

When the psalmist penned these words, it was to show how much they relied on God to be their “Rock of salvation”, “King above all gods”, “Lord our Maker” and Shepherd.

Always remember just who God is in your life and try to make sure He always occupies the “top slot.”

As long as we depend on God as being our King of Kings, He will be faithful to be our Shepherd and protector at all times.

Psalm 78:2 I will open my mouth with a parable; I will utter hidden things, things from of old

Jesus came and taught in parables, not to confuse us, but to make us stop and think about what we are hearing – to meditate on His Words.

God wants us to be aware of what He gave us – which means thinking about it and digesting what we read and hear.

Don’t be put off by big words or long paragraphs, ask God for guidance as you read through His word and He will explain things as you read... Just as He has done from the very beginning!

Psalm 25:4 Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths.

If we do want to try and live a life for God, then we should be listening to His advice before we go ahead and break things!

God wants us to listen to His advice so we can have a better chance at getting things right and living the life He wants us to.

How do we listen? We read His Word and inwardly digest what it means to us and in our lives. Applying what we read will lead us forward in a life with Christ!
