Romans 8:23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies.

Sometimes I have to read through a verse a few times before it sinks in – and much of the book of Romans is like that for me!

When we accept Christ into our lives, He imbues us with the Holy Spirit as our constant guide. The more we listen, the more we learn and the better off we are.

But if we continue to ignore our guide, we should not expect to know much when we get to the end of our tour!

Be constantly listening and obeying!

Romans 3:20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.

It is not because we can follow God’s commandments that we get to go to Heaven. It is not because we are teachers of these commandments. It is not because we wrote them down...

It is because we have recognised our sin because we read or heard the commandments which has allowed us to ask for forgiveness from God.

Jesus died so we can be guaranteed forgiveness when we ask for it though our conviction.

Read and believe your bible today!

1 Peter 2:4 As you come to him, the living Stone - rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him -

God chose Christ to be the living stone, the chosen cornerstone, to be there in the foundation of the earth for our sakes.

We are to be like living stones as well, built around the chosen cornerstone.

This has all been put in place for us because He chose us, and we are very special to Him.

We are, to Him, a royal priesthood built around the head priest Christ.

1 Corinthians 3:10 By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care.

No matter how hard you work to build the right foundation – unless there is support for continued building in place, the workers after you may well allow things to collapse in a heap!

No! You are not the centre of the world! Each of us must build on the foundation which is Christ Jesus. Each of us must build con conjunction with the support in place.

Building a tall tower by yourself, no matter how grand and pleasing, will end in nothing more than a monument to your work.

Live with Christ instead.
