Psalm 78:38 Yet he was merciful; he forgave their iniquities and did not destroy them. Time after time he restrained his anger and did not stir up his full wrath.

So many times in our own lives we get caught up in something and before we know it we are running off down the path of sin… even though we didn’t think we made that choice to begin with!

God knows how we work and He knows what makes us tick. He knows how much we do wrong but is continually willing to try and allow us to learn the righteous ways.

His love for us extends far beyond the wrongs we do – never be discouraged just because we fell off the wagon once or twice or even many times!

Habakkuk 3:2 Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy.

Think of the most striking event in your bibles which would install fear in you if it happened today? And God was there in the midst.

Now think of the fear we are going through as a world trying to beat this unseen global pandemic affecting so many people… yet God is still here in the midst.

Lift up your prayers today and ask God to let His glory shine in this time of darkness over the whole world; because He is in our midst!

1 Kings 11:34 But I will not take the whole kingdom out of Solomon’s hand; I have made him ruler all the days of his life for the sake of David my servant, whom I chose and who obeyed my commands and decrees.

I do love the way God always talked of king David as being one who always obeyed His commands and followed His decrees.

David lied, committed adultery and killed people to list a few of his shortcomings. But each time he would come back to God and beg for forgiveness and turn back to God’s ways!

God may well be Holy and cannot abide sin, but He is loving and forgiving.

Be live David and ask for forgiveness and turn back to God!

Isaiah 42:9 See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you.

God wrote things down to make sure we know what has been, what is and what is coming. Things have been recorded for our sake!

God does not have these things written down for Him to remember – it is for our sakes and He used prophets and kings to tell the world about what is to come.

Unfortunately, the world has been sidetracked and needs a bit of a jog now and again!

Do you listen when God gives you a bit of a jog, or do you just carry on by yourself?
