Psalm 128:2 You will eat the fruit of your labour; blessings and prosperity will be yours.
One thing I have learned and something my parents have always taught me, is ‘God helps those who help themselves.’
This is not to say we should do what we want and God will help us!
This means we do need to work for what we get – God does not want us to sit and take Him for granted!
Ruth 1:16 But Ruth replied, ‘Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.’
How much do you love your friends and family, both by birth and in-laws?
I grew up seeing some of my friends hate the in-laws after one parent would get married again…
God teaches us to love the family we are given because that is how His gospel is spread better!
Isaiah 43:10 ‘You are my witnesses,’ declares the Lord, ‘and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me.
This chapter is very important to me because I based a part of my life as a servant of Christ on the words in this chapter.
Christ chose us to be witnesses for Him and of Him. Right from the beginning He chose people throughout history!
You are one of those people! Be proud to be called a servant of Christ!
Psalm 21:1 The king rejoices in your strength, Lord. How great is his joy in the victories you give!
One thing we cannot do is read the minds and hearts of others.
What we can do, is look into our own hearts and minds…
Focus on the things you can control and listen out for guidance about the things you cannot.
God is always willing to help out!
