Matthew 5:18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.

When God inspired people to write down His Word He made sure is was written down as something which will never change. Man has changed it by translating it and manipulating it to make some sort of sense.

But what God inspired has not changed, only our perception of it has.

I love the fact that Christ knew the word and knew the truth. I love the fact God gave us enough to make sure we could understand and grow in wisdom through His words.

He does not have to change anything which has been written down; but we do need to try and understand it better before we break everything!

Psalm 119:89 Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven.

No matter how much we try to promise here on earth we tend to break those promises and ultimately fail each other.

God’s Word is the ultimate promise and will always remain true and constant; it is rooted in Heaven and continues to remain so.

God’s will is described through His Word and that too remains as the perfect standard by which we can all hope to live by.

I long for the day when I will be in that perfect will and word in Heaven with God!

1 Peter 1:25 But the word of the Lord endures forever. Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.

Men, woman, priests, Kings, Queens; all men die some time. Nothing in the world is absolutely certain and that includes our time of death.

God’s Word has continued to defy people by staying current through many years of history and remaining the biggest selling book for some time.

It is the content of this amazing book which remains current and continues to amaze, teach and prepare man for what he has to deal with in life.

Year after year people get to hear the truth and realise it as we continue in faith.

Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

When we look at the world around us we wonder how some things could ever change; we may look at a natural thing like Victoria Falls or Niagara Falls and wonder how they could not have been there to start with.

We then look at books and see how they crumble after a short time in the open and we make up our own ideas about which will last the longest.

Put aside your own thoughts and listen to what God has put down for us to read. No matter how many books, scrolls or whatever break down, God’s Word has stood firm and unchanging.

Fully Rely On God and not on things around us.
