Luke 8:50 But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, “Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well.”

How many times have you been let down by someone who has promised you things but never delivered on the promise? How does that make you feel?

It is hard to believe stuff if you have lived most of your life with people not carrying out promises or going against the rules.

Jesus upheld the law and He upheld every word He spoke. When He told the temple ruler to believe it was not “trust me I’m a doctor” but “trust me I’m God!”

Genesis 18:14 Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

Having children when you are almost 100 years old may well seem impossible for us even with the advances in medical ways and technologies. But nothing is impossible for God!

Being brought back to life is possible but not when someone has been dead for a few days. But with God, anything is possible!

Facing 1000 people and being able to default them by yourself without any modern weapons is more than hard work. But with God, Samson made it sound easy!

Daniel 3:17 If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king.

The men were willing to place their lives in God’s hands and face the heat of a furnace rather than giving in to worship any other gods.

It is very hard to place your whole life into the hands of anyone else and to some even more difficult when they cannot see the person.

We also have to be confident God will bring us through whatever we are facing; but listening to Him to make sure we go about it the right way is hard.

We should not have to fear people who do not follow God and His ways!

Matthew 22:21 They said to Him, “Caesar’s.” And He said to them, “Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

When we owe things to the world and the world demands those things from us we owe it to the world to pay those things back.

When we owe things to God we should not be surprised to find out He may require something from us.

But God’s grace and mercy go far beyond anything we can imagine meaning we do not get to see it in that light.

Being willing to give time and energy to God is something we ought to take seriously.
