Proverbs 17:11 An evil man seeks only rebellion; Therefore a cruel messenger will be sent against him.

Sin is rebellion against God. It is an utter contempt for God’s laws and ways and the breaking of those rules.

Breaking man’s laws or the law of the land will attract retribution of some kind whether it be from the law enforcement people or others.

When we continue to sin God is going to let someone or something into our lives to jog our consciences into seeing just what we are doing wrong.

Being evil is going to attract people who do not care for our safe being but rather want to see us locked up.

1 Peter 2:13 Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake, whether to the king as supreme

God wants us to show Him reverence and respect, but He also wants us to show our leaders respect as well.

When we show our leaders respect, other people around us will notice what we are doing; they may not agree with what we do because they do not yet understand why, but they will notice.

We do not have to agree with our leaders because they may not be getting things done the right way; that is not the point being raised here.

Respecting others in our lives goes a long way toward building trust and relationship; that is what God wants us to show outwardly.

Proverbs 24:21 My son, fear the Lord and the king; Do not associate with those given to change;

When our bibles tell us to fear God it means we ought to love Him, look up to Him, have faith in Him, submit to Him and worship Him.

Kings and Queens are in power because God allows them to rule over countries. It does not necessarily mean God has chosen them or put them in power.

People who continually change their minds or speech are very hard to follow and believe in; God instructs us to avoid such people as they continue to cause chaos and division.

Leaders who continually change their minds are very hard to trust, obey and follow; God does not change His mind!

Ephesians 5:21 submitting to one another in the fear of God.

Have you ever thought about why you obey some people and not other people? God gives us clear instruction about how we should be living with other people, loving them and treating them well.

Submitting to one another also means submitting to parents and guardians; God wants us to live in peace whilst here on earth.

This does not mean we have to believe everything our church leaders say to us, nor that we have to obey everything they say.

What is does mean is taking into consideration what they are saying and following God’s will and instructions in your life; don’t forget they probably know the bible more than you do!
