1 Corinthians 2:4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power

What is it you think would make you wise? Is it the gaining of superior knowledge or the demonstration of said knowledge?

I think the ability to demonstrate your knowledge is very important, but would learning and demonstrating all the wrong things be any good?

We can teach each other things, but when we get to the end of our knowledge, we cannot pass anything on.

What God can do is to open up our souls to new things each day and to levels of wisdom we cannot comprehend!

1 Corinthians 1:17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.

I marvel at the number of different ways in which people say Christ is telling them to behave. I marvel at how many will use the name of Christ for their own good.

Christ came to seek and save the lost and not to make sure everyone was following the right ritual at the right time!

We need to live for Christ by taking the gospel and sharing it with others. Doing deeds may well support the people and the church buildings and other human stuff, but what about Christ?

Christ gave His life for us. We need to remember just what He has done and do things because of that, not instead of that!

1 Corinthians 3:4 For when one says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not carnal?

Do you have to have your say about everything? Does everybody need to know what you think about things?

It is good to talk and it is good to discuss things because we will not be able to get to the truth unless we are open to discussion.

It is no good us forcing our ways and our minds on to others all the time because we will always think we are the ones who are right and not leave room for the truth!

God has given us enough in the bible to get us talking and discovering so we can find the truth through Him and with Him.

1 Corinthians 3:2 I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able;

Teaching people about Christ can be a bit of a minefield because every one of us has a different way of thinking of others.

When we first learned to read we were not given Shakespeare’s letters and told to get on with it but rather given simple reading material so we could get to hear more and learn more.

As we grow in knowledge and understanding we get to learn and understand more about God, but we continue to learn more each day we walk with Him.

Our learning curve continues to expand every step of the way!
