Deuteronomy 32:4 He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He.

Our God is awesome!

I love to be reminded about the things that God has done for us over all the time that people have been able to write things down. I love to hear about the things that God continues to do nowadays.

But most of all I love to know that God is my Rock upon which I can stand proud and know that I will not fall.

I know I still get things wrong and do things wrong, but I know that God knows that too.

Psalm 31:5 Into Your hand I commit my spirit; you have redeemed me, O Lord God of truth.

King David had plenty of things to be afraid of in his life and not just the enemies from other countries but from inside his own family as well.

David did not turn round and blame God every time things went wrong; he instead asked for help, guidance and protection.

And it was not just his physical protection he prayed for but his spiritual protection as well.

As Christians we stand against a very real enemy and need God’s constant protection.

1 Peter 4:19 Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.

What happens when things go wrong? What happens when you suffer? Does this mean God is against you?

Hopefully you too will see that God is not against you and that life just happens to suck at times!

God is faithful. God is good. God is real. God has not forsaken you.

If we are willing to put up with life just so that we can be with God then we will find out just how awesome He is as our creator God!

1 Corinthians 4:12 And we labour, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure;

Paul continued to work at various times to make sure he was not a burden to the local people. He tried to make sure that he worked for his necessities when required.

Does this mean that we should all be working? That question is individual and needs to be answered only in the context of the work Christ has called you to do.

But don’t put down others just because they put you down. Don’t persecute others because they persecute you.

Bless people and encourage others just as Christ has taught us to do!
