Acts 19:4 Paul said, ‘John’s baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus.’

I never judge people who say they are Christians because I know we all have our own limits and ways in which we believe.

Paul met some disciples who had been baptised after learning from John and his disciples.

What they had not done yet was to be introduced to what Christ had done for them – this changed their world again!

1 Peter 4:12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.

One of the hardest things I find as a Christian is to tell someone not to be surprised when things go wrong.

Right from the beginning when Jesus had to face to Pharisees and other religious people, we learn the world does not like being exposed!

God deals with the truth and the truth exposes bad people...

John 16:26 In that day you will ask in my name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf.

When Jesus was with the disciples He taught them how to pray and here starts teaching them who to pray to.

He does not say we have to go through anyone to talk to God – we talk directly to God!

But what He does say is we should ask God anything because of what Jesus has done for us already – not because we think we deserve it!

John 16:20 Very truly I tell you, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.

When Jesus told the disciples they would have to face trial and tribulations, He was warning them of the real future.

Sometimes the world may seem like they are mad and don’t care…

Pride, greed and lust form most of the bad things we see in the world – stay close to God to avoid those attributes.
