Psalm 2:10 Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth.

How many world leaders have you seen in the news this week, not for good reasons but for what they are doing wrong?

Unfortunately we seem to hear more bad things about our world leaders instead of good things – they seem to be losing their ways!

God watches over them just as He watched over king Saul, and before long, something will happen which they will not like either!

Psalm 41:9 Even my close friend, someone I trusted, one who shared my bread, has turned against me.

These words, written hundreds of years before Jesus was betrayed by Judas, remind us of how God knows everything!

We can read these words and wonder how the Jews did not recognise Jesus as Messiah, but we can also look around us and see how so many people still do not accept Jesus as the Son of God!

Friends and family may not believe us when we talk about Jesus, but we must continue following, believing and being a servant to the people around us for His sake.

Psalm 67:1 May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine on us

These words may well hark back from when Moses came out of the clouds with a bright shining face!

This was the blessing Moses received from being close to God, a blessing the people were fearful of but one which we have grown to long after.

It is good to be a shining example of Christ. It is good to be someone who people look out for as being different.

Be different with Christ!

Acts 11:20 Some of them, however, men from Cyprus and Cyrene, went to Antioch and began to speak to Greeks also, telling them the good news about the Lord Jesus.

After the killing of Stephen most disciples stayed amongst the Jews to tell them about Jesus, but a few went outward to Antioch and spoke to the Greeks.

Jesus does not call all of us to stay close to our homes and the people we know, He calls some of us to go out to people we would not normally think of when we think of Christians.

God wants His Word to go out to all the world, not just a “chosen race!”
