Psalm 145:8 The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.

How often do you do things wrong and someone shouts at you or doesn’t talk to you?

I know I get things wrong a lot of the time, and some would say it’s because I’m a man! No matter, we all get things wrong from time to time.

God has shown mankind love and compassion above and beyond what we deserve!

God knows what we are live – yet He still is willing to love and support us!

Psalm 27:10 Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me.

Does this seem a bit harsh? Well, most of us will get to see our parents pass away before we do – basic statistics.

It is no fault of our parents that they die before us, yet they do leave us alone in the world when they do die; it can be a very sad time.

But we can get our greatest comfort from knowing God will never leave us – He cannot die because He lives eternally.

What better person to rely on than our God!

Psalm 27:4 One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.

How many things do you ask God for? How many of those things do you actually need?

Jesus said we need to be content with what we have, but He also said we can ask God for anything.

God loves us more than we can fully understand – this is why He allowed Christ to be our Saviour once and for all.

Christ has reminded us to ask anything of God through Him, so He can plead on our behalf.

Psalm 41:4 I said, ‘Have mercy on me, Lord; heal me, for I have sinned against you.’

How often do you admit to doing wrong? I know none of us like to have to admit we have done wrong, but God wants us to be honest and open!

When we have done something wrong, or sinned against Him, we should be willing to admit to what we have done and to ask for forgiveness.

When we can set aside the guilt of what we have done, we can move forward with confidence knowing God is with us!
