It is not your fault others around you do things wrong. It is not your fault your friends and family do things wrong…
Each of us has our own choice to follow Christ, and when we do, God is willing and able to bless us and our friends and family if He so wishes!
Trust God to be faithful and merciful, just as He has promised.

Philippians 2:8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death – even death on a cross!
Jesus gave it all up for us on the cross. He lowered Himself to be a human being, and humbled Himself by coming forward as our servant!
He did this all because of God’s great love for us and out of obedience to God the Father.

We have a hard time believing some people when they tell us something and Jesus knew this!
He appeared to the most important humans in His life after His death and then started appearing to more and more people.
He wanted enough people to know the truth so they would be able to convince others of this truth...

Psalm 17:5 My steps have held to your paths; my feet have not stumbled.
When the psalmist wrote this psalm, it was not just a plea for God to help and keep them, but a declaration of their love for God too.
How did they show their love to God, by doing God’s will and continuing to follow His ways all the time.
The more we stick to God’s ways in our lives, the more we will find it is easier not to give in to the temptations of the world around us!

1 Corinthians 15:42 So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable;
Every living being on earth is different. We are different to animals. We are different to fish and birds.
And then, when we die in our physical bodies, we are raised up in our spiritual bodies – very different again!
Our physical bodies all have a limited lifespan no matter what we are: fish, bird, animal or mammal; but our spiritual bodies are eternal!

Do you have compassion for all the people around you or do you pick and choose who you have compassion for?
God wants us to have compassion fro all His people – and that includes people we may look at as being our enemies at times!
If we are not crushed when the people around us feel crushed, then do we actually have compassion for them?

Today we witness a state funeral in the United Kingdom which will probably be beyond our dreams; we say our final goodbye to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Though one of the richest people in the world in terms of earthly wealth, she remains one of the richest people in terms of Heavenly wealth because of her faith in Christ.
Queen Elizabeth leaves behind riches some can only dream of, but gains heavenly riches none of us can dream of!

Luke 8:21 He replied, ‘My mother and brothers are those who hear God’s word and put it into practice.’
Often we hear that small quiet voice telling us to do something but ignore it because it’s not fun or profitable in our eyes!
God tries to speak to us all the time through the Holy Spirit, which means we should listen to that small voice!
Once we start listening to Him, we can obey Him and do God’s will in our lives!

God has always tried to teach people to make their own judgments and choices, but the warning has always been there – we have to answer for our judgments and choices!
We have the Holy Spirit to guide us so we can make informed choices and judgments – invite Him in to live with you so your choices will be better, always!

What I have learned over the years is that God will make possible a way through which you can serve Him, through which you can make a difference!
We need to trust Christ, ask honestly in prayer and listen earnestly for answers to those prayers.

Psalm 119:173 May your hand be ready to help me, for I have chosen your precepts.
When I first read this verse, my reaction was one of disappointment!
Why, you ask… I had just read another part of the Bible where The Lord was warning disciples about not rejoicing because spirits submitted to them, but rather to give God the glory by rejoicing their names were written in Heaven instead!
Don’t get carried away with your supposed success – it is God’s success!
