Psalm 24:1 The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;

Everything we see, hear, touch, smell… everything belongs to God!

He created us and this universe we live in. How do I know? I trust His Word and believe in His ability!

If God is able to do so much for us in the beginning, then why do we doubt Him when it comes down to the more personal issues we face in life?

God is here for us. God loves us. God gave His all for us! Believe and trust Him!

Matthew 8:20 Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”

If we think we cannot cope, then how could all the apostles and even Jesus cope with this – not having a place to call home?

Jesus knew, during His time of ministering to the people, He had to be amongst the people and sharing everything with them.

Are you willing to give your life up and go somewhere to share your life with the people around you?

Jesus wants disciples – disciples go out into the world!

1 Corinthians 4:11 To this very hour we go hungry and thirsty, we are in rags, we are brutally treated, we are homeless.

Some of the apostles went through a lot as they did what God asked them to do; but it did not stop them from carrying on!

They faced lack of the bare essentials, food, drink, clothes, money, even being robbed and beaten up; but they continued on in faith.

The authorities joined in – flogging them, beating them, placing them in jail; but they continued on!

Are you ready to give things up to God.

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

Now we could all try to disagree with this because of the many temptations we face and fail at; but there is method to this all.

Christ wants to strengthen us to live in this world and to help out others who are less able to live by faith.

He allows things to happen in our lives, not to tempt us, but to strengthen us for what may be ahead. If we did not exercise we may not be fit enough to endure the road ahead!
