1 Corinthians 1:9 God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

It is because God is faithful that we have grace through His Son Jesus Christ. He promised us a life without sin, but we insisted on bringing sin to the table.

His promise remains faithful because we still do have a life ahead of us in heaven without sin – should we choose to believe it is so!

It all hinges on our choice of believing in Jesus Christ and all He has done for us – just because He loves us so much!

1 Corinthians 1:8 He will also keep you firm to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Through Christ Jesus’ actions and giving His own life on the cross as our perfect sacrifice, we have been kept blameless for our sinful ways.

Though Christ wants to forgive every person, He is only able to truly forgive people who ask for forgiveness; those who refuse to ask, have no course for forgiveness.

Yet Christ is willing to forgive at any time and will continue to be ready right up until the time we have to face Him and answer for what we have done.

John 6:70 Then Jesus replied, “Have I not chosen you, the Twelve? Yet one of you is a devil!”

Peter was expressing total belief in Christ and yet Christ knew one of the twelve He had chosen was all about lies and deception!

Yet Christ still chose Judas and continued to support Him even at the point where Judas was going to give Him up to the authorities.

No matter what we do, say or believe, Christ believes in us and will continue to support us until the day He cannot do any more.

We have a choice to make; whether we follow His teaching and allow Him to pay for our sin debt, or whether we want to do it all for ourselves and end up with nothing. Choose right. Choose truth. Choose Christ!

John 6:63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life.

We say we are alive because of this spirit within us which gives us free choice and the ability to act on those choices.

I cannot believe we just arrived at a point where we could have a spirit but firmly trust God has given us this amazing gift.

Our flesh is just a carriage or vehicle for this amazing spirit, or soul, to live in.

Jesus was telling the people around Him that these words were for the spirit to take in and believe, not the flesh… they were life-giving for our souls!
