Psalm 36:7 How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.

Who has God showed His unfailing love to? To us, mere mortals, sinners, poor, lonely; however you describe yourself, God shows His love toward you – and it is without end.

For those who are full of pride and deceit, God’s love may feel hidden, but it is still there patiently waiting for the person to put aside their own feelings and follow God instead.

It is little wonder then that Christians all around the world put their faith and trust in God, resting themselves under His protective wings just as a chick hides under its parents wings.

Psalm 23:6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

No matter how far we have fallen, how far we run, how much we get wrong, God’s goodness and mercy will always stretch out to us and allow us to come back to Him.

No matter how long we have been away from God, how long we have not believed or how long we get things wrong, God continues to wait and is willing to forgive.

He wants us to dwell with Him where we are safe and sound, where He can protect and save us – always and forever.

Psalm 52:8 But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God’s unfailing love for ever and ever.

When God plants something, it will always be there. So much of the time we tend to go overboard and break everything God gives us, but the gifts are still there.

God asks us to be fruitful, by sharing the gospel with others so they too can be rooted in His kingdom.

It is not for us to supply all the nourishment the plants need because God continues to do that – we are caretakers, doing God’s work for others to grow with.

Trust in God, in His mercy and grace, forever!

Hosea 14:8 Ephraim, what more have I to do with idols? I will answer him and care for him. I am like a flourishing juniper; your fruitfulness comes from me.

Even before Christ came to be man with us, the Jews were going through turbulent times of choosing to live with God and choosing to make their own gods; just as we do today!

Our gods may not be little statues anymore but we do follow man-made things of this world rather than following God…

There will, hopefully, be a time when we see exactly what we are doing and we choose to follow Christ again, once and for all.

A life with Christ may be hard, but it certainly if fruitful and delightful!
