Matthew 27:63 saying, “Sir, we remember, while He was still alive, how that deceiver said, ‘After three days I will rise.’

When people try to cover up the truth they have to use lies to cover up things in the hope that people will believe their lies instead of the truth.

The Pharisees did not want anyone to have any excuse for believing anything other than what they wanted people to believe; so they tried to prevent Christ from fulfilling His promise.

If they had believed Christ was God I am sure they would not have asked for the tomb to be secured!

But they did. They continued the lie they started and had to use more lies to cover up more lies…

John 7:48 Have any of the rulers or the Pharisees believed in Him?

The Pharisees were concerned about one thing and that was the sanctity of the law they had built up in their ranks. All they could focus on was the law…

Well, knowing the law is not everything! Yes it is a great help to know the law but without the love of Christ the law is as good as a dry river bed!

If you want to be able to irrigate the crops and fields then you need a river which is flowing full of living water. You can then spread that water round and give life to so much more.

But if all you focus on is getting rid of the weeds and making sure your seeds are pure – nothing will grow, not matter how pure it is!

James 2:5 Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?

All throughout the bible we see how God has chosen the right person for the right job. He does not choose the one who can pose the best, the one who is tallest, the one who fights the best… He chooses the right person!

God makes choices based on what is inside the person and what He knows the person is capable of when faith and trust is placed in their hands.

God is trying to lead by example. We need to follow that example and show faith in others as well as in God.

Luke 12:21 “So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”

How rich would you like to be? It is a valid question because we all need some sort of income in order to live in society…

How we treat that quest to get the riches that we need is going to change our lives from the inside.

If our aim is to get money to spend, then that is what will happen one way or the other. If our aim is to spend, then we are always seeking money.

When we die, our money is no longer ours… Build up something you can keep!
