Psalm 34:6 This poor man called, and the Lord heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles.
Do you want God to be close to you? Have you tried being honest first?
Any relationship thrives on being honest and open – so too should your relationship with Christ!
When you call out to God with an honest heart, He answers!
Matthew 6:15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
One of the things which most of us find hard to do is to forgive people who have wronged us in some way!
But, if Christ did not forgive us, the very people who worked against Him in the beginning, we would not have hope…
Forgiving is a part of growing in Christ – but brushing aside things is not!
Psalm 112:9 They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor, their righteousness endures for ever; their horn will be lifted high in honour.
We may not be able to relate to some of the words used in the Old Testament because our modern lives are so very different from then, but we can relate to giving freely of ourselves!
God does not keep records of accounts received from you!
God seems what giving means to you...
Matthew 5:46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that?
Do you treat others the way you are treated, or do you try to treat others the way you want to be treated?
Being good and righteous needs to start with you and not running around to find someone who is!
Christ has already shown us the righteous life; we need to aim to be more like Him!
