Psalm 2:4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.
When was the last time you scoffed at someone for suggesting something ridiculous?
Can you imagine how many times God would scoff at the things we suggest or do in our lives!
And yet God still loves us – try to look past things and love someone!
Matthew 2:2 and asked, ‘Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.’
The Magi followed a bright star in the skies to find the Messiah, born as King of the Jews.
Men feared this because it meant upsetting their perceived power!
God alone as all the might and power, we are His humble servants here to serve His children!
Psalm 102:2 Do not hide your face from me when I am in distress. Turn your ear to me; when I call, answer me quickly.
How many times do we cry out for help when we think we need it?
How many times do you step forward to help someone in need before they have to call out for help?
God helps before we call, when we call and after we call.
Ruth 3:5 ‘I will do whatever you say,’ Ruth answered.
Ruth was very loyal to her mother-in-law, following her and helping her even when the going got very tough for them.
Quite what the meaning of the ritual she was asked to do and where that came from – who knows…
But she willingly listened intently and obeyed – and God blessed her because of that!
