Psalm 14:1 The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.

During my time in hospital over the past few years I have seen a marked difference between those who believe in God and those who have no faith.

The faith we have as Christians gives us a hope which goes beyond science and logic.

The people who were always happiest, be it patients, doctors or nurses, were the ones who had faith and depended on it.

Try it!

Psalm 116:15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants.

If we are able to stay a good and faithful servant to Christ our King, He will look at us as being precious to Him on our passing.

I am lucky to have known many good and faithful servants before they died, and I have gained immense support and peace after they passed.

To be remembered as a good and faithful servant, we need to listen and obey Christ.

Psalm 84:1 How lovely is your dwelling-place, Lord Almighty!

As we mourn the death of our Queen, we remember her Christian faith and her dwelling place now.

She reminded us of the light which no darkness can overcome and the love we have for one another – a love built into us by God.

May Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II rest in peace and rise in glory.

1 Corinthians 8:9 Be careful, however, that the exercise of your rights does not become a stumbling-block to the weak.

The more we learn about God and His will in our lives, the more we need to be aware of how others see us…

If we know we are doing something wrong and others see us, they may think it is ok to do what we are doing; but we know it is wrong!

Be the example and don’t just talk about being the example!
