Psalm 78:25 Human beings ate the bread of angels; he sent them all the food they could eat.
Even though God was angry at the people of Israel in the desert, He continued to supply their needs.
Why? Because He had promised Moses He would look after the people – God keeps His promises.
Why didn’t He just punish them? Because He is full of grace and mercy!

Jeremiah 30:11 I am with you and will save you,” declares the Lord. “Though I completely destroy all the nations among which I scatter you, I will not completely destroy you. I will discipline you but only in due measure; I will not let you go entirely unpunished.”
Don’t get God mad at you! He is Holy and He is just. He will always do what is right!
If you go against God, don’t expect Him to come and support you in your wrong-doings.
Keep close to God and obey Him – that is the safest place to be!

Jeremiah 30:22 “So you will be my people, and I will be your God.”
Jeremiah was given the unenviable task of telling the people they would face hardships, but also how they would come out safe in the end.
We live in a terrible world where so many bad things happen – our actions do cause much of the problems.
God God is willing and able to give hope, love, mercy and peace to all who wait on Him!

Matthew 13:29 “No,” he answered, “because while you are pulling up the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them.”
How many bad neighbours do you know? Does that stop people from living in the area?
Most of us will know someone who does not fit in to the community in some way, but that does not stop the community from thriving in its own ways.
God wants us to care for all people so when the time comes, the bad people cannot say “we didn’t know!”

Psalm 119:130 The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple.
Where do you look for your knowledge and wisdom?
Do you search earthly ways and people to teach you what you think you should know?
Or do you seek God’s ways to teach you what you think you should know?
Should we not be seeking God’s Word to teach us what He knows we need to know!

Exodus 32:22 ‘Do not be angry, my lord,’ Aaron answered. ‘You know how prone these people are to evil.
One of the hardest things to accept is someone doing something evil to you…
But how many times have you been swayed to do something you ought not to?
God knows we give in too easily to evil, but He still cannot abide evil!

Psalm 103:9 He will not always accuse, nor will he harbour his anger for ever;
Many people get hung up with their sins or the sins of their families and they forget the price Christ paid.
Christ did what He did so we could be forgiven ‘no matter what!’ (if we believe and trust Him to!)
Allow Christ to forgive you properly by allowing Him to by accepting what He has done for you!

Psalm 99:6 Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel was among those who called on his name; they called on the Lord and he answered them.
We can look back in our bibles and see the difference between people who stayed close to God and those who drifted away from Him.
We recognise great names in our bibles because these people stood as great disciples.
Great disciples enjoy life but they have even better things to look forward to after life!

Matthew 13:51 ‘Have you understood all these things?’ Jesus asked. ‘Yes,’ they replied.
How would you answer God if He asked you this question?
The more I get to read the bible the more I get to learn about a new way of living with Christ!
If you don’t understand something, will you ask someone, even God?

Psalm 81:6 I removed the burden from their shoulders; their hands were set free from the basket.
When Christ told people to bring their burdens to Him, it was initially difficult for people to understand what He meant.
We equate burdens to things we carry round be it on our shoulders or in our hands.
What Christ was talking about was the weights we carry round with our souls: spiritual, emotional and mental struggles.

Psalm 67:6 The land yields its harvest; God, our God, blesses us.
How often do you stop to think who is the one behind all of the marvels we have in nature?
How often do you stop to think about the people who work hard to supply our every day needs?
How often do you thank others for what they do?

Daniel 7:13 ‘In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence.
The prophet Daniel was given visions of Jesus and God and tries, with difficulty, to describe what he saw.
When we see something which we have never seen before, it is difficult to give a proper description.
But witnesses give similar descriptions of God and Jesus all throughout time. Believe it!

Psalm 81:13 If my people would only listen to me, if Israel would only follow my ways,
Time and time again the people of Israel lost faith in God because all they could see was the woes of the world.
Where is your focus: on God and His promises, or on the world around you and all its woes?
Tell someone the truth and give them reason to trust in something so they too can discover God’s promises!

Psalm 51:3 For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me.
How often do you recognise you have sinned? How often is that only after you have done it?
God wants us to know what we do wrong and even what can cause us to do wrong…
That way we can ask for help to avoid getting into trouble in the first place!

Numbers 14:27 How long will this wicked community grumble against me? I have heard the complaints of these grumbling Israelites.
How often do you test your friends by asking them an impossible question, just to see what they do?
Do you do the same with God? God is holy and just. He will always do what is righteous.
Be aware what you are asking of God at all times...

Matthew 16:22 Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. ‘Never, Lord!’ he said. ‘This shall never happen to you!’
Sometimes it is hard to listen to the truth just because we don’t want it to happen that way…
Sometimes we stop listening because we don’t like what we hear...
God has always given us the truth and wants us to fully rely on Him with absolute faith!

Psalm 77:14 You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples.
Are you trying to make God do miracles quickly to show how good He is, or you are?
God is the God of miracles; but He does things according to His time and not to ours.
If we are willing to listen and obey we may well be there when He does things!

Matthew 17:19 Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, ‘Why couldn’t we drive it out?’
How many times have you been told you cannot do something because you don’t have the courage or faith to do it?
Sometimes it is more about listening out for what God is telling you and letting go of the worldly ways.
Sometimes it is about trusting fully in Christ.

Matthew 17:23 They will kill him, and on the third day he will be raised to life.’ And the disciples were filled with grief.
What goes through your mind when you are told someone you love is going to die? It’s not something any of us want to hear.
Jesus made sure He always obeyed His Father in Heaven – so we would have something to aim for!
No matter what God says, it is going to be for the best for everyone!

Psalm 45:11 Let the king be enthralled by your beauty; honour him, for he is your lord.
Christ has done a wonderful thing in making you a beautiful bride to God in Heaven.
Put aside the worries of the world and with strains of wordly ways to enjoy just being with God!
You are what God has created and He knew what He was doing from the beginning…
