Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid?
Have you ever been accused of using religion as a crutch?
My response is I do use Jesus as a crutch because I believe He has asked me to rely on Him.
I don’t use religion as a crutch because that is much to vague and covers far too much in human terms.
Be sure about who you rely on and let others know!

Luke 4:40 At sunset, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of illness, and laying his hands on each one, he healed them.
Jesus was willing to stop His busy life and sit with people, listening, loving and healing.
When we say we want to be more like Jesus, do we also mean it?
Step forward today and just be with someone. It could make all the difference!

We will never truly know the full love of Christ until we get to Heaven.

I think the words of this psalm have to be considered carefully…
The author is not just asking God to answer their prayers but also humbling themselves before God!
He going down to the level of the wicked people in front of God but asking for mercy!

Who are the people who look out for the church and support the priests as well as the congregation?

Too often we get carried away with gossip and lies and our behaviour suffers because of them.

How often have you been to the doctor because you were feeling well?
God could see the need for light to be brought into the world because it was being consumed by darkness.
Christ is that light and we need to share that light so others will be encouraged to seek that light!

1 Timothy 6:2 Those who have believing masters should not show them disrespect just because they are fellow believers. Instead, they should serve them even better because their masters are dear to them as fellow believers and are devoted to the welfare of their slaves. These are the things you are to teach and insist on.
This is a double edged sword. People in charge who are Christians should be looking after all in their charge as Christians.
Christians who are servants or who serve in any form should respect their bosses because of the Christian support they give.

When Jeremiah gave the word of God to the king of Persia, it was to allow the people to have freedom to worship their own God.
People must not be forced to pay a tax for the upkeep of temples but rather to be able to give from their hearts how much they want.
How I wish the consumer society would still allow this without blame!
