Luke 8:25 “Where is your faith?” he asked his disciples. In fear and amazement they asked one another, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him.”

When we talk about faith, what do we cover? If you are only thinking about the faith you need to love Christ, then you may be selling yourself short!

Our faith has to cover many aspects of our relationship with God, Christ and the Holy Spirit; but it also has to cover the belief in what God can do.

God can do anything! We need to trust He can, believe He can and hope He will do so with and for us what we ask.

Don’t sit there and question whether or why – just do it!

Luke 12:28 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you—you of little faith!

How often do you think about how much your parents or partner loves you? How often do you think about how much God loves you?

I bet the answer is “too little!”

We do need to stop and think about just how much God does love us because it is so easy to forget about that fact when we are living in a world where so many things go wrong, or not according to plan!

No matter what happens in this world, God knows each one of us inside out and loves us more than we can imagine – that love is faithful, strong and eternal!

Hebrews 9:14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!

God accepted the blood from clean sacrifices to atone for sins in the past; it was a purposeful commitment from the people to God.

When Jesus came, He did not limit the sacrifices to the blood of clean animals but offered up His own blood instead.

Jesus’ blood means so much more to God than any animal or any other sacrifice – that means our sins are well and truly paid for; cleansing us to our very souls rather than the sins of the moment.

Exodus 24:8 Moses then took the blood, sprinkled it on the people and said, “This is the blood of the covenant that the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words.”

When Moses read out all the laws he had written down from God, the people agreed to follow those rules and made sacrifices to show their commitment.

Moses took some of the blood from the sacrifices and splashed it over the people to remind them they were the ones making the commitment to God.

We cannot expect a priest or church leader to do everything so we can run off and do our own stuff; God wants faithful followers.
