James 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

Admitting your faults, wrongdoing and sins is never easy, but being able to pray for each other so we can be less tempted and to sin less is always good.

Just as we trust others more the more they tell us the truth, so God will be listening and answering when He knows you are genuine with your requests.

God is faithful to answer our prayers; just how faithful are we with our honouring Him and listing up those prayers?

John 14:13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

It is an amazing promise made here by Jesus Christ that He will do anything we ask when we ask in His name.

This is not to promote Himself as able to do anything but rather to support our sharing of the gospel.

When we tell other Christ is able to do anything, we need to believe it and ask Him to support our telling of the gospel; that way He can answer our prayers and give all the glory to God our Father in Heaven!

Romans 8:27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.

Have you ever felt a special spiritual connection with someone else, maybe even thinking you know them better than anyone else in the world?

Well, God knows you even better than this because He knows what is in your heart and spirit.

When we listen to the Holy Spirit we get an insight into God’s will in our lives because it is the Holy Spirit who will be guiding us in God’s will.

Listen and learn.

Psalm 20:4 May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.

How many people do you lift up and bless with words like these?

If we really do want to make a difference in our community or even the world, then we have to make a start ourselves.

Don’t sit and expect the world to change according to your wants and desires but do start praying for others to ask God to do that for them.

The difference will start with you asking on behalf of others, not you expecting others to ask for you!
