Ezekiel 16:2 “Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations”

Ezekiel was told by God in no uncertain term he had to tell the people of Jerusalem what they were doing wrong.

Sometimes it takes someone on the outside to tell us what we are doing wrong because we have lost sight of the way or the direction God gave us in the beginning.

Listening to God is a continual process and not one we need to do once in a lifetime.

Listen to Him and learn, continually.

Micah 3:8 But truly I am full of power by the Spirit of the Lord, And of justice and might, To declare to Jacob his transgression And to Israel his sin.

When we are truly listening to God, He will be telling us things to tell others and not just for ourselves.

God used the prophets from the Old Testament because they were the ones willing to listen directly to God and then go out and tell others what God was saying!

God will fill us with the Holy Spirit so we can decipher what He tells us and what the needs of others are around us.

Listen and learn. Listen and pass it on.

Acts 4:29 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word

When the disciples went forward they did not go quietly! They upset a lot of people along the way because they refused to be shoved under the carpet.

The local law wanted them shut down because they were breaking the mold by refusing to follow the old religious ways.

They asked for boldness so they could speak out in the face of adversity; they acknowledged the chain of leadership in the world but knew they had to work for God and not man!

Matthew 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

When Jesus told the eleven disciples who were left to go out and spread the Gospel, it was not a request to see if there were volunteers but a command for all of them!

Jesus wanted them to reach out to people who did not know Him, people who were confused about Him, people who wanted more of the truth; everyone.

They were told to expand Christ’s kingdom. What are you doing?
