1 Timothy 6:9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.

It is sad to see how much money can corrupt many people. I have seen it far too often as well, be it with a few dollars or pounds to a win on the lottery or other windfall; people change when they get money.

I know I changed when I started earning a fair wage for work; but I am glad I saw how much it was affecting the people around me and moved on with God instead.

I have nothing against money because money is not evil; it is what people do with it and how they treat it which makes us think of it as evil.

Try share everything today.

Psalm 119:36 Incline my heart to Your testimonies, And not to covetousness.

A simple prayer to ask God to continue to help us in getting to know and understand the bible; a heartfelt prayer to ask for what is righteous and not to give in to temptations and desires.

God made our hearts and souls to seek Him and to find out what is right; man defiles this by seeking his own desires.

In order to give us the best opportunity to get to know God and to know what it means to love Him half as much as He loves us, we need to know His side of the story.

Stop the world and look to God instead for today!

Exodus 20:17 “You shall not covet your neighbour’s house; you shall not covet your neighbour’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbour’s.”

How many times have you looked at another house and wished you had a house like that? Is it so wrong to wish for a better house?

We need to be able to control our desires so we do not turn our backs on God or our friends just to get those desires fulfilled!

God does not want us to focus on the things of this world. He would rather we focus on the things of heaven where we know nothing on this earth will be able to compare with it.

We may not have oxen, donkeys or servants, but we sure do have enough electronic gadgets to distract our desires! Be careful out there.

Ephesians 4:28 Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labour, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.

We all have times in our lives when we do the wrong things. When we do, we need to face up to what we have done wrong and accept that we will have repercussions in our lives.

But just because we have done something wrong does not mean we should be trapped in a cycle of wrong-doing of trapped in our old ways.

Christ came to set us free from our old ways and from our sins. He came so we could have a new life with Him and not be afraid of what has happened in the past any more.

Trust Him and live!
