Isaiah 55:12 “For you shall go out with joy, And be led out with peace; The mountains and the hills Shall break forth into singing before you, And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Although the people of Israel had great joy out of being led out of Egypt in peace, these words are more focused on the joy and peace we have from living with God.

Not the joy and peace we will have when we get to heaven but the joy and peace we see, feel and touch when we are saved from sin, bonds, slavery, whatever.

There is no more joy than knowing you have eternity ahead of you!

Psalm 105:43 He brought out His people with joy, His chosen ones with gladness.

When we see just how much God does for us at the right time and the right place we can celebrate with joy and partying!

No matter how much life gets us down we can always look forward to the joy and life God brings us and be able to celebrate this life with Him.

God has chosen us and set us aside from the bad and evil side of life. He has done this for a reason – we may not see the reason as we try to make sense of our lives, but we know it is God who is in control!

Amos 2:10 Also it was I who brought you up from the land of Egypt, And led you forty years through the wilderness, To possess the land of the Amorite.

You may be asking questions like “why should I continue to uphold my praise and worship if God is going to allow bad stuff and people into my life?”

It is not all about consequences where we have to pay for the bad things in our lives either!

God does not want all these bad things to happen to us, but we do live in a world where there are a lot of bad people doing bad stuff; we are just some of the targets for those bad people. That is life.

Amos 2:12 “But you gave the Nazirites wine to drink, And commanded the prophets saying, ‘Do not prophesy!’

People working against God’s people is not new. Mankind has been trying to knock Christians down for a very long time; and yet we continue to show just how powerful and supportive our God can be!

What we have to remember is we are not alone; we have God with us and we continue to have His support.

Don’t try to make a world for yourself but rather continue to try and work in God’s world and in His will. That is where we are going to be safest of all.
