Zephaniah 3:12 I will leave in your midst A meek and humble people, And they shall trust in the name of the Lord.

Just how much pride and self-glory was going on at this stage in history must have been something which stood out.

God does not want a people who are proud of their own accomplishments or their own laws, rules and ways; God wants a people who are proud to be called children of God!

I love the fact I stand out from the crowd as being someone who is willing to carry the mantle of “bible basher” or other condescending titles given to us who are proud of our Lord!

I think most of my T-shirts carry Christians words, verses or Jesus’ name on them in some form. I love wearing them. I love my Lord!

1 Corinthians 1:27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;

Yesterday God chose a donkey to stop the prophet from getting too high and mighty before Him.

If we look around our world we see many ways in which God is using the simplest of things to confound the proud and mighty people.

God does not want to prove we are all stupid but rather to remind us we are nothing in comparison to Him; even though we gain so much wisdom and knowledge by continuing with our study of this world, God is the only one who knows it!

Numbers 22:30 So the donkey said to Balaam, “Am I not your donkey on which you have ridden, ever since I became yours, to this day? Was I ever disposed to do this to you?” And he said, “No.”

A talking horse is something we may have seen on a children’s program on TV so a talking donkey could be imagined; but to talk back to the donkey…

Balaam was in such a state because his trusted and supposedly faithful donkey was now directly disobeying him – with attitude!

When God puts something in your heart you are going to have attitude to those who work against you and to those God directs you to stand up to.

Be a faithful donkey and listen to God!

Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”

If you enjoy watching films and programs about the wildlife and wonders of this world, then you may begin to relate to the sight Adam and Eve must have seen.

We do not know just how amazing a sight the evil one may have been, but his cunning was far beyond our imaginations.

God has warned us against the evil one but it will only be after we have been conned and tempted that we will see just how cunning he is.

Stay on your guard every day by walking close to God every day!
