Acts 21:8 On the next day we who were Paul’s companions departed and came to Caesarea, and entered the house of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the seven, and stayed with him.

How do you think you would be described by a bunch of Christians? Would they describe you as a good person or as someone who did things out of the ordinary?

Would you be just another Christians or would you stand out as one of a group who were making a difference?

God wants each of us to go out there and make a difference. That sometimes means doing things you are not comfortable with because they are stretching you further than you want to go.

Listen to God and expand on what you normally do for Him.

2 Timothy 4:5 But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfil your ministry.

Work for a Christian can mean many things; but all of those things should be focused on Christ.

Sometimes we have to ensure stuff which we think we should not have to, not because we are getting punished for stuff but simply because the world and the people around us may not care for us like we care for them.

God is just and will enable us to do His work if we are willing to listen to His guidance. It is His will that we should obey Him and worship Him with our lives.

Trust Him!

2 Timothy 2:3 You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

I wonder how many times you have been told you have to endure things just because you are a Christian; well it is not just because you are a Christian!

Why do soldiers go through so much grief in their training? They do that to best prepare them for the job ahead!

Christ may allow various things into our lives which we really do not like; but they may well be what we need in order to prepare us for what lies ahead of us.

2 Timothy 1:8 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God,

It is easy to listen to someone telling you how you must not be afraid, and then find it so very difficult to actually not be afraid when faced with danger!

God’s protection for us is very real and you may not get to experience that if you are lucky. I would not wish anything bad on anyone who does not know that protection.

I know I used to be sceptical when people first started telling me of this great protection God had to offer; I mean, how can someone invisible do anything for me?

Trust God and believe in Him. Don’t wait until it all goes wrong before believing…
