Ephesians 2:2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience

Who is it that makes you do things wrong? Who is it that gets you to break the rules and sin against God? Who do you blame?

The first person who pops into my head when someone asks this is Satan because he is the master of all things evil and of all temptations in this world.

We are actually to blame. We are the ones who choose to do wrong and choose to break the rules. He is the one who knows all the tricks of the trade to get you to ignore the rules.

He no longer has power over you. You can break free. You are free.

Ephesians 2:1 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,

When we accept Christ as our Lord and Saviour we are accepting Him as our forgiver and guide to a new life.

He has changed the rules, changed the outcome and given us true hope in a world which has broken us and shoved us out the door.

We walk away from God without realising it and we walk in the ways of the world because everybody around us seems to be doing the same.

We do have a choice and we do need to make a conscious decision to change our ways back to God’s ways.

Proverbs 21:8 The way of a guilty man is perverse; But as for the pure, his work is right.

Have you ever wondered how some people can live with themselves after seeing just how wicked or guilty they are?

I do find it difficult to imagine how some people can accept the way they live or act and find it difficult to see how they can remain oblivious to other people’s feelings and needs.

But when we are willing to accept God’s rules and laws and act accordingly, our ways are also righteous.

God does want us to be good example and honest and upright people; this will give us the best chance of living a life which will bless others instead of cursing them.

Isaiah 55:8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.

Thoughts are a part of life; there is nothing abnormal about having thoughts and working them through your mind.

But each one of us is very different and our thoughts and the way we think are very different to each other’s. Trying to think like someone else is almost impossible.

God’s thoughts run so much deeper and further than anything we can or do think.

Now think of God’s ways being as different as our thoughts are to anyone else’s thoughts…
