2 Timothy 1:8 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God,

It is easy to listen to someone telling you how you must not be afraid, and then find it so very difficult to actually not be afraid when faced with danger!

God’s protection for us is very real and you may not get to experience that if you are lucky. I would not wish anything bad on anyone who does not know that protection.

I know I used to be sceptical when people first started telling me of this great protection God had to offer; I mean, how can someone invisible do anything for me?

Trust God and believe in Him. Don’t wait until it all goes wrong before believing…

Matthew 10:18 You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.

Who do you think God will use to reach to the people who are in charge of countries and kingdoms?

Will He try and find a bigger and more important king or leader than them or will He use people who are available?

God can use us to reach even the most important people in the world. Even they can look at us and be inspired if we are willing to be more like Christ!

Change a little. Shine a little. Let God use you properly!

Luke 21:13 But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony.

We may well go through trials in our lives and wonder how they happen or why they happen because we think God should be looking after us all the time…

Well, God is watching us always and is always with us, but we still live in a broken world where things go wrong.

Sometimes things can be used for good even though they appear so bad on the surface. We can always try to find a positive side to things going wrong in our lives – even if it is only to show people we have to trust God no matter what happens in our lives!

Matthew 8:4 And Jesus said to him, “See that you tell no one; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”

Even though Jesus healed the lepers completely from leprosy He still told them to go through the proper channels to get themselves “signed off” as being well.

Jesus may well do miracles and go against what the world knows is possible, but He will not go against God’s Word.

We can be sure Christ is in it if we know what is happening is happening within the bounds of God’s Word.

Believe Christ can do anything but make sure you stick to God’s Word whilst doing that!
