1 Peter 3:7 Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honour to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.

Sometimes people ask me why I do things for others or why I am so kind to others…

To me it is quite simple: This is what God teaches me.

I do try to live according to God’s wishes and how I see Him leading me. It does not mean I get it right all the time because I know I fail.

But I also know God loves me and I show Him my love by caring so deeply for the people I know He loves.

Psalm 89:47 Remember how short my time is; For what futility have You created all the children of men?

Sometimes we do feel far from God; not because we don’t know that He is real, but because our lives are not going according to our ways.

If the Lord is trying to get you to change your ways or to change what you are doing, then don’t waste time by trying to continue your same old ways.

God is real. God is here. Listening may be hard but we must do it. And doing God’s will is what counts.

Psalm 103:14 For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.

God is the one who knows where we came from and what we are, both inside and outside.

But don’t take that as something we have to be ever fearful of because we do serve a God who loves us.

If we can remember that God knows we are weak, that he knows we make mistakes, that He knows we are sinners… and yet He still chooses to love us… then we can move huge steps forward with Him encouraging us every day!

Psalm 78:37 For their heart was not steadfast with Him, Nor were they faithful in His covenant.

We can read all about the people of Israel and how they did not fully obey God, about how they went back on their words, about how they did wrong… but what about us?

How many times do we get it wrong? How many times do we go back on our word? How many times do we sin?

This is a “normal” life we live! Accept the fact we do things wrong and move on with God.

Listen to God and learn from Him every day and not just when we think it is ok to listen!
