Proverbs 8:10 Receive my instruction, and not silver, and knowledge rather than choice gold;

God’s Word is worthless unless it is given in instruction! Whether this instruction is given through the Holy Spirit as we learn ourselves or given from people who have studied long and hard does not matter.

It is the fact that we are receiving the Word of God and instructions for understanding. It is the wisdom we get through learning and not what we get because it is there!

When we receive that instruction we build up knowledge and this is all what we should be desiring, to learn and soak up the wisdom and knowledge God gives us.

God wants us to learn so we can pass on instruction, spreading the Gospel as He has asked…

Psalm 19:10 More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

When we get to know God we get to know that there is no better reward than God in our lives. No amount of gold should change our minds. No amount of sweet foods should turn us away.

Thank you God for giving us a freedom that we can see is worth so much more than the refinements in life we tend to like.

I don’t know if you have ever been able to hold a large piece of Gold within the records we are shown, but God’s love and support seem to eclipse everything we have or seek.

Psalm 19:9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

When we get to know God we get to realise just how awesome He is. We should also bring on a much greater respect for what He is able of doing.

This is the fear of the Lord that we should not be afraid of because it is a great respect and love for God and not a bone shaking fear that drives us away.

God is absolutely just and holy giving us 100% confidence that He will always tell the truth and uphold that truth no matter what!

Psalm 19:7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;

We must be very careful in understanding that the law of the Lord is not just the scriptures written down by Moses. It is not just the New Testament as live through by Jesus.

The law of the Lord is everything that God teaches us and all that we have before us from the prophets, disciples, apostles and everyone else who has contributed to it.

It is that law which will convict us from the inside. It is the truth that Jesus supported all through His ministry that will keep us going, giving us wisdom every step forward.
