Luke 3:32 the son of Jesse, the son of Obed, the son of Boaz, the son of Salmon, the son of Nahshon,

When we look through the genealogy of Jesus’ earthy parents we find all sorts of people; people who were not perfect!

When we are asked to be more Christ-like it is not a requirement that we stop doing every sin that we have ever done or thought about; that would be impossible for us and Christ knows.

We need to try to be more like Him. That means making positive choices. That means trying not to get involved with the negative and sinful ways.

Be honest and open with God and ask for His help; He would love to help you!

Luke 3:6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.

This is not to say that every person will be going to heaven but rather that every one of us will get to see just what it is that makes it possible for us to get there.

God has promised us every person will get to see Christ; but not every person will get to be with Christ for eternity.

Christ has told us that not every person that speaks His name to get to be with Him, but those that believe and trust in Him will.

Be encouraged. Be willing. Be honest with God and He will be right by you!

Matthew 5:45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

We like to think that we have a very blessed life and that everything will be OK once we get to invite Christ into our lives. The truth is not quite like that!

God allows good things to happen to bad people and bad things to happen to good people. It is not our belief in Christ that is going to make our life a good life physically!

Really good things do happen to us Christians, but the rest of the world does not always see them as coming from God.

Ephesians 5:8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light

When Christ released us from the grips of darkness it was not so we could creep back into the darkness to cover our faults but rather so we would want to walk in the light from that point onward.

It is not going to be a walk in the park as we get to know our new life in Christ. It is going to be difficult to change our habits…

If we are willing to give up those habits and walk in the light, we will get a whole lot less damaged!
