Ephesians 4:6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Are you beginning to realise just how important this statement is yet?

God alone is our creator and He alone is God above all. No matter how much man lifts up other gods, they are not.

We can call things whatever we want, but if God has not created it as that, then we are deceiving ourselves as well as others.

God’s power alone is in us though the Holy Spirit and it is His choice to be with us. By His grace we exist and by His grace we can live forever.

Ephesians 4:5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism;

Jesus Christ alone is Lord of all. No other name can be lifted high as God because Christ alone is the Son of God.

That means that all other religions don’t quite get the point; but equally some people who call themselves Christians don’t quite get it either!

Faith comes in many forms and we believe in many things, but there can only be one truth.

That is the truth that we must seek and God will guide us, if we listen!

Ephesians 4:4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling;

There is one church, not hundreds and thousands, just one. If ever there were a contentious statement this is it!

Christ instituted one church, a church of people who believe on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and trust in Him.

He calls us to be together as one family and one nation under Him.

The problem being that man wants to be at the top of that nation, at the top of the church, and the top of everything.

We need to leave that to God, the only one worthy.

Ephesians 6:4 And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.

How many people thought this was saying bring up your children to love God; or is it just me and my bad English?

God warns us not to do things and we need to bring our children up knowing those things and knowing that God is a God of wrath and not just lovey dovey things!

True love comes from being just and fair. Hiding justice does not show love but encourages deceit.

We need to make sure our children know justice but not through our anger and strife; through God’s justice.
