Romans 11:29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

What is or was the most memorable thing about 2013 for you?

For me the biggest thing about this last year was the fact that I finally started to do something for God that I had been telling Him I would do for many years!

Each of us like to promise something to others, but we don’t always follow through with those promises.

God’s grace goes beyond any of our promises because He will never ask for that back. He has shown us grace and continues to show us grace. Please accept it in this coming year!

Isaiah 49:15 Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.

One of the things I will always find hardest to come to terms with is when a parent walks away from a child. I know that I am not the greatest parent at times, but I will always be here for my children no matter what!

To me, the love a parent has for the offspring is probably the strongest bond between two people, and yet we see that broken from time to time.

God’s love for us goes far beyond what we can imagine between parents and children. God’s love has no bounds. God’s love is eternal. God’s love is awesome!

Luke 11:11 If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish?

When you look at all the things that you may have been given over the past few days, you may begin to see how other people love and care for you.

Even in times of distress and time when you think nothing is going right, there is always something special that will happen to lift up your spirits.

We need to remember those times and be encouraged; and if you see someone else discouraged or struggling, then try give them a hand up or encourage them in some way. It may just be the gift of love they have been waiting for!

1 Timothy 5:8 But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

One of the hardest lessons I had to learn as a Christian was to make sure that I looked after my family and not run off to do things for others all the time.

God tells us that we must go out and do things for others, but He also says that we have to take care of our families.

We are the ones who have to find that balance; whether we do what we can here and now or whether we take a step out into the wild and do something for others.

God will guide us and support us as long as we seek His advice. Always seek and listen!
