Hebrews 2:13 And again: “I will put My trust in Him.” And again: Here am I and the children whom God has given Me.”

No matter how hard a non-believer tries to understand the Gospel, they are not going to hear the truth until they believe the simple truths in the beginning.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, was born, died, buried, raised and lives again – just because He loves you!

When you take in that truth you take in the Spirit of God and He will show you His truths from the inside so that you will know them and not just read about it!

Matthew 13:11 He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.

Being able to understand the Gospel is not a natural occurrence. That may sound odd when we know that God created us; but when I say natural I mean of this world, not God’s original creation.

The world breaks us away from hearing the gospel, blocks our ears, covers our eyes and then fills us full of garbage that has nothing to do with Christ or the Gospel.

We need the Holy Spirit to give us our daily understanding so that we can continue to grow in the Gospel message and in God’s strength.

Isaiah 32:3 Then the eyes of those who see will no longer be closed, and the ears of those who hear will listen.

Every one of us who hears the true Gospel message will be brightened from the inside as the Spirit works within us. We will no longer be as blind people allowing the Gospel to go by without seeing but will be able to soak it all in.

We will no longer be deaf to the Gospel as it is told around us but will be built up, encouraged and strengthened by every word we hear.

Thank you God for opening my eyes and ears to your Gospel and strengthening me from the inside day by day!

Psalm 18:2 The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

When we really get to know Christ we begin to understand just how much He means to each of us. King David describes God here as being everything to him.

He is our protection through everything because He is all powerful and has promised to look after us when we ask. He has proved that many times over and we can depend on that.

He is our inner strength when the world wears us down and that strength never disappears, even when we close our eyes to it…
