Luke 22:32 But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”

Satan will always attack at what he thinks is the weakest point; and most of the time that is going to be our faith…

Christ could see what the evil one was trying to do in Simon Peter’s life and issued him a warning here. We need to take heed of all warnings that Christ gives us so that we are ready for battle.

We cannot win the battles by ourselves, but we can rise up when we allow Christ to strengthen us and guide us; then we can walk proud with Christ and help to strengthen others!

Job 1:12 And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.

Have you ever wondered at why God would allow Satan to do to Job all that he did do? Could you ever think of it as being out of love?

You may struggle to think how this could be done out of love, after all, Job was about to lose it all…

God was trying to show Satan that Job’s love could shine even brighter at times when we would think that our lights would go out. Trust in the Lord with all your might!

Matthew 21:32 For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him.

It is not our position in life that is going to make the difference as to whether we get to heaven; it is our belief in Christ alone that will secure that hope.

We may think that we are better than others who were dreadful sinners, but unless we turn to Christ we are as guilty as them for the so called “minor sins” we have in our lives.

Our repentance and belief in Christ secures our passage to heaven and not our good works or charitable deeds; they come from believing not the other way round!

2 Timothy 2:25 Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth,

How many times have you just said what is on your mind or hit back at someone before they had time to even think what they had done to you?

We all get upset and retaliate before we have a chance to say what should be said instead of what is on the tips of our tongues! God does not want us to ignore what is wrong but to do what is right.

That may mean telling others that something is wrong kindly instead of starting an fight just because they are wrong. Try and think “What Would Jesus Do” before your strike out…
